Unlike the 1982 song today I had no problem finding this great 1972 song to post for you. Yes, you’ll probably hear this song on the “classic rock” satellite station today. And it’s fifty years old this year. How about that! Here’s today’s tune. Changes - David Bowie Hey, Bowie’s back! He wrote “All the Young Dudes,” the Mott the Hoople song that opened up the 1972 side of this dual countdown. This time he’s presenting his song himself. And what a good song, too. It’s another one of those that keeps getting played on classic rock stations, meaning that people whose parents weren’t around when this song first came out can still enjoy it. Changes Written by David Bowie Recorded by David Bowie From Hunky Dory, 1971 (Today’s 1982 song: “Dirty Laundry”) Look out, you rock and rollers:

I only had Let’s Dance and the first greatest hits. Definitely respected him, too.

My brother loved David Bowie. The times I heard this song are probably close to the number of grains of sand on the beach....well maybe not quite that much but pretty close

Wow! Another song that uses a stutter. Hats off to Bowie for a catchy tune but I'll go with My Generation from The Who

And “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” from BTO, but that’s not until 1974.
