Grandmother assists a pizza delivery driver after he was shot during a delivery

Karen Collins who resides in Joppa Maryland is being praised by members of her community after she assisted a delivery pizza employee named Da' Shawn Betterson who came to her townhouse on Saturday night on June 25 when he told her that he had been shot in the lower body as he was outside of her home.
De'Shawn who is employed by Papa John's Pizza did receive non life threatening injures as Karen called 911 to report the incident.
Karen took De' Shawn inside of her home and she followed the instructions of the 911 operator to give De' Shawn medical attention until the first responders arrived to take De' Shawn to a local hospital via helicopter where he is expected to make a full recovery.
The Harford County detectives did take into custody the alleged shooter who was Malik Burns who resides in the same city as Shawn which is Edgewood Maryland on Sunday morning.
Karen ordered a pizza to feed her grandchildren for dinner at the time of the incident. She is happy that she did assist a wounded person by following the instructions of the 911 operator since she was doing her job to help others in need.

@RubyHawk The alleged shooter was Malik Burns who lives in the same hometown as De' Shawn. Most likely a friendship that went bad.

My pleasure to share what Karen did to assist a wounded delivery driver who needed her help until the paramedics arrived to take him to the hospital to be taken care of for his wounds.

I have heard of robberies on the job but seldom if ever has a delivery driver been killed on the job by gunfire.

The alleged shooter may have an ax to grind with De' Shawn maybe due to a female friend conflict or a personal fight between them.
