Extra good deed

I just arrived at Kamehameha Shopping center. As I rounded the shopping center, next to Baskin & Robin's ice cream parlor is, Time's Supermarket. Carts in front and a huge parking lot. As I approached the entrance, I stopped, giving way to a shopper returning a cart as she then hopped into a waiting taxi. I then noticed a bag of fresh garlic still in the cart the taxi shopper just left. I hurriedly, went to retrieve it, stepping towards the taxi waving the garlic...the taxi was starting to inch away, but stopped. The window tinted & rolled up, sy couldn't yell about the forgotten garlic. I kept hoping, until taxi inching away, then I started to turn towards the supermarket to give garlic to customer service...lady, I heard, I turned back to the taxi, shopper smiling at her open door. I quickly walked up to the taxi, "thank you", "you're welcome". Garlic returned to owner. I felt, nice. Extra good deed, done. Has this happen to you or did you receive something you forgot?

It happens on rare occasions that persons do thank me for being courteous to them in a market.

@oahuwriter - The woman thanked me, she said it would be a problem to lose that wallet, she also had her documents inside.

That was nice of you to catch the shopper with her garlic. I haven't been able to shop in 10 years. I don't think I've ever experienced this. Have a good day.
