I Think Mama Lizard About To Die

Mojave, California

Been a few years and not sure how long they live. She been very active, out and about and kind of saying I do not know what else to do to protect these young ones. She so dark compared to her kids and she has white spots on her, not sure what that means but she does not like to be seen. I did not see white spots last time I seen her. The fact, she keeps letting me see her means something is probably wrong sad to say. I was like cool she likes me, no then you look close I am in trouble. Please leave my kids be. Always miss lady. Nature is cruel. I wonder how pappa is doing if she in poor shape.

Are they just running loose outside? I always love to see lizards when I leave (or come back).

They not pets, they wild, they just chose our home to be their safe haven.

Lizards lifespan is around 5 to 6 years. Lizards get darker to absorb more heat, may be Mama lizard needs more heat because she is an old mama.

There are some lizards who do have white spots, that are located in California. I don't know the names, however.
