Khon2 news, just reported, Rocky gave birth to her 14th pup. Popular Kaimana Beach, is where I'm Rocky decided to make her home for her and her new born pup.
Saturday, the world welcomed Rocky's baby. Most of Rocky's pups were born at Kauai. This little pup is Rocky's second birth at Waikiki. Born officially in July 9. Onlookers must remain 150 feet away from mother and her pup. Rocky and her pup, is expected to stay for 5-7 weeks. If too much interference from people, Rocky may abandon her pup, si fencing protects them. Rocky us a veteran Mom. Joyce Hsich a photographer, was early on beach keeping people away from Rocky and her pup.
RH58, better known as Rocky and Kaimana, was born at Kauai. When she was 3 years old she swam to Oahu. 12 of her births we're at Kauai. Her last 2, pups born at Oahu's Kaimana Beach near Kaimana Beach Hotel.
NOAA Fisheries and it's response partner, Hawaii Marine Animal Response are monitoring Rocky and her pup, named P08. Monk seals are listed as an endangered species. Any monk seals sightings reporting to NOAA 888-256-9840.

Guess they do, haven't come across articles about how researchers know which seal they are.

Me too. Seal mom's noted for abandoning their pup if bothered. I couldn't find any article of how researchers know it's Rocky.
