Kids in Government school near my house stage protest

The little children of a primary government school in my area staged a protest for insufficient teachers. There are only 2 teachers for 200 children. The children locked the their school and stood in front of it demanding the appointment of more teachers to make their learning easier and comfortable.
Our state education department should be ashamed of itself to make a mockery of education.
Do you think children can learn anything in this situation? Can we achieve 100% literacy with such education facilities for our children.

That's the rule here too in India, but only in pen and paper and I see it's not being implemented by the Odisha education department itself.

@sjvg1976 They need to concentrate both in villages as well as towns and cities since standard education is lacking everywhere.

Sorry herein India there are lots of people who live under the poverty line and cannot afford mobile phones or laptops and in such cases, online classes can't be avail to them.

That too has to be done by the government as the poor children can't afford the online education devices and an internet connection. The government wants some uneducated mass whom they can fool for votes.

@sjvg1976 Oh, I see. I just hope that children's education will always be readily available.

@aninditasen that's sad they should invest money for the education of the kids as that is going to pay in long term.

@sjvg1976 That's what most state government don't understand. They need fools to vote for them but forget about its bad effects.

In Delhi the CM has turned the table but in Odisha the CM sitting like Dhritarashtra to the corruptions of the education department. They don't recruit teachers to launder the funds.

2 teachers for 200 students is absurd. No one can learn with such a teacher shortage like that

That's unbelievable. Here, we have 1 teacher to a class of about 30-35.

I do think that they need more teachers because teachers will find it hard to monitor the kids with that kind of numbers

Definitely the school needs more teachers. I was a teacher and I know how difficult it is to handle young children.
