Do firebirds exist in your country?

Firebirds were popular way back then when I was a kid in the mountainous region of the Philippines. These firebirds look like flying pieces of fire at night and they cawed like crows. When there was an incoming death in the barrio, they caw and fly to the roof of the person's house and stay there, seeming to be the angel of death. Hence, it's always feared when barrio folks see it. It signifies the death of whoever the firebird set its feet on. Do you have firebirds in your area? What do you know about firebirds? Are you asking about a Phoenix or actual birds that can carry smoldering twigs and set fires to drive prey, small mammals and insects, out of cover so they can catch and eat them? The first is a legend that doesn't exist anywhere. The second is real. There are Black Kites known around the world that will pick up small twigs, either in their beak or claws, from a forest fire and set new fires to drive their prey out of hiding so they can catch them easier. Types of birds that have been known to start fires this way are Black Kites, Whistling Kite and the Brown Falcon.

@DaddyEvil they did exist in our barrio. I saw one myself. But due to development and change in their habitat, they disappeared. Just like other extinct animals.

I certainly thought it is a myth, and these creatures are mythical. But I could be wrong, who knows.
