Got bored eating the same Indian mushroom curry for long so decided to make stuffed button mushrooms in pumpkin stew that I had prepared more than a decade ago. So I decided to prepare it today once again. Stuffed the button mushrooms with cottage cheese mixed with salt, sugar and pepper powder. Dipped them in a salted batter of white flour and rice flour. Made a paste of boiled pumpkin and onion and boiled the fried stuffed button mushrooms in the stew. Garnished the whole dish with garam masala. Seasoned the mushroom sticks with fried onion and garlic and added it to the stew. I don't like the taking the same dish often. How about you?

That sounds like a dish I would love to try. I don't like preparing food the same way over and over again and try to experiment a little to make it just a little different

I too am of the same temperament. Therefore I try new ways of cooking.

@jobelbojel You dip marinated mushrooms in a batter of white flour and rice flour and deep fry them.

That looks so delicious! I like variety as well . . . even a favorite dish could get boring if eaten too often.

@aninditasen Right. The key I guess is to change the menu up regularly and add new things too.

@much2say Yes, when you change the ingredients of a dish it gets a new taste.

Yes, that's true. So favourite dishes too should be made rarely.

When you change the recipe the food gets a different taste.

I tend to make the same dish pretty often if it is tasty and good for my health.
