I have come across so many people who claim to be saved. Go to church every Sunday and other days of the week for fellowships . But what I don't understand is how they act ,treat people . It's very contrary to the bible teachings . Am not being judgemental and of course am not perfect . But why would people cram the whole bible and fail to even act an inch of the teachings in the holy book?

My husband call those people the biggest sinners of all. They act like they are good Christians but they do not show kindness to other people.

True it is. Even if God gives you authority, never misuse it. Nobody deserves to be treated with impoliteness

@Dreamerby being given authority to lead is a privilege and one should serve thee people equally without exploitation

True they are so good in quoting the bible verses but their deeds are not even an inch close to the teachings or the verses that they quote everyday

I grew up going to church, and I found the meanest people were the ones that claimed themselves as religious. Nothing wrong with religion, I have my own crazy beliefs, but their beliefs should not excuse bad behavior.

@Shavkat people nowadays have monetized religion too much that their deeds are not near what the teachings say

If they misbehave like that then they are not true believer. They claim to be one but not doing it. These people will be questioned by Jesus on the judgment day.

Some may not even realize they are being hypocritical, unfortunately. Changing ones behavior and mannerisms is a life long endeavor especially for those that weren't expected or taught to respect others while they were growing up. Also some people never learned to love themselves. They have to love themselves before they can really love others.

@Laurakemunto I don't know that I would call it self love. I would consider that and being able to love yourself two different things.

True self love is above everything because through loving yourself, you teach others how to treat you including living you

That means they are weak humans prone to commit mistakes. It is hard to walk with perfection, but at least their beliefs and faith could slow them down but they don't. It means they are not accepting God by heart.

I often call someone a 'Sunday Christian'. They say all the right things but only do the right things on Sundays.

It's horrible. As a Christian our behavior is scrutinized by others, and if we cause others to turn away from God, then one day we will be the ones judged. Jesus said never look to men for your faith but to keep you eyes on him, because people will let us down all the time, but He never will.

Treating human like humans is the greatest deed of all. Even if God gives you authority, never misuse it. That's what people should follow(which they hardly do)

@Laurakemunto Yes there should be no discrimination based on religion too. God is God for everyone.
