This recipe is great for mushroom lovers and easy to put together. Take pieces of chicken or if you like, boneless chicken cut into cubes. Brown the chicken along with onions and garlic. I love both, so I use a lot, but you can also leave them out. Then set the chicken aside, and in the same pan, add 2 or more cups of sliced mushrooms, Sautee them until they begin to brown. Take those off the pan. Add butter, white wine, and chicken bouillon to the pan. Take flour and mix it up with a little bit of cold water until it becomes a smooth paste, and once the liquid in the pan is boiling, add the flour mixture and stir until it becomes a kind of thick and smooth gravy. Take the chicken, onions, garlic, and mushrooms and place them in a greased baking pan. At this point, if you like, you can top all the ingredients with some sliced tomatoes or tomatoes from a can without the liquid, Pour the gravy over all there should be enough to cover everything, Then set to 350 degrees and bake until the chicken is done and all the ingredients including the gravy are cooked together it should only be about half an hour. This is particularly good served on noodles or rice but if you prefer you can use potatoes in which case I prefer mashed potatoes. *An added note you can work with the gravy and if you like creamy either some heavy cream or sour cream can be added. It just adds flavor to this dish. Season everything with a bit of salt and pepper. Paprika can be used and any other spice you might like to add.
