Thanks to the animal rescuers at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) in Sanibel were able to catch a softshell turtle that had a fishing hook over two weeks ago. After the turtle was captured by the animal rescuers was taken to be taken care of by veterinarians who used X rays to determine that the turtle did not have any hooks inside of his mouth which is a relief for the peace of mind of the turtle. The veterinarians went the extra mile to assist the turtle to make a full recovery by giving him antibiotics and time in rehabilitation before the turtle was released to the sea after the turtle was given a clean bill of health.

I am sure that the turtle must have had a hard time trying to eat food with the hook in his mouth.

@RubyHawk I am sure that the turtle did feel a lot of pain having the hook in his mouth since pain in the mouth is not a laughing matter.

@Deepizzaguy That poor turtle. He might have starved without the hook being taken out. That hadto be painful.

That must have been very painful for the turtle and that too for two weeks. It's good that it is being given the antibiotic to get recovered fully.

That was a big relief for the turtle that's for sure, just imagine going and swimming around with that thing embedded and sticking out on your mouth

It would be worse than having a stomach ache.

The veterinarians did a super job healing the turtle who must have had a hard time trying to eat and drink with the object stuck in his mouth. I am sure that the turtle is happy to have been healed.
