I do want to see that he treats her with respect. But that is him. As far as she goes I am not marrying her and will not put up with her interfering in our lives.

Yes, you have to because here in India, sons live with their parents even when they get married so if your mother-in-law is not good you won't be able to survive in the new home after marriage.

Weather I liked my husbands parents or not has nothing to do with weather I wanted to marry him or not. I’m not marrying his parents I’m marrying him. Do I dislike his parents no, they are alright. But if you asked us both who’s in-laws where better we both say my parents. No in-laws are prefect and you don’t get to choice your in class but you dk get or choice who you marry and how you interest with them or not. NO, not at all, as we were very independent and our families had not to interfere with our relationship. Anyway my mother in law was a very kind woman, I loved her.

I don't have a mother in law anymore. She passed away few years back. Although I still have father in law alive and still strong. When my mother in law still alive, I had no problem with her.
