I fell into the hands of thugs today.All the gold I was wearing got stolen.

Today(30.7.2022) was a very bad day for me. At 11.20 in the morning two men came to my house to sell metal cleaning powder. They cleaned my elder son's brass award and then my silver ring and returned them to me. Then they took my gold ring, my two gold bangles and my gold gold chain with its locket and cleaned it and put it in a packet in front of me and gave it to me and left. I went inside the house and opened the packet to bring them out but didn't find them. I informed the police immediately but couldn't get the cctv footage as I realized that it's not collecting data properly. The police told me that the same thing happened with an elderly in a area close to mine and they are in search of the two thugs. Pray for us so that our jewelry are recovered by the police and returned to us.

@Nakitakona I keep my gate locked from inside. Earlier I used to just close the gate latch. One had just to turn the latch to come in. That's how the thugs entered and robbed my jewelry.

Yes, the packet was open and the put the jewelry into it in front of me, they stapled it and left. When I opened the packet inside the house the jewelry weren't there.

They tend to target older people or those who are alone so please be careful next time about entertaining strangers.
Maybe next time go to the hardware store and ask what products they sell to clean gold so your sons can do it at home safely.
I think they steal them to sell them so try to find out where they could be selling your jewelry.

I had no intention to get them cleaned. They cleaned and returned the packet of gold jewelry to me. They put it in the packet while I watched them but when they managed to steal away the gold jewelry I am pondering still now.

I am so sorry that happened. I never let anyone in the house unless I know them, no sales people. If a repairman comes and I've not had him here before, I make them show ID. I don't have that much to steal, but it's mine. These type of people are despicable.
