Katherine McMillian who is a nine year old girl who lives in Raliegh North Carolina was at the right place at the right time eight days ago when she was a pool party that was hosted by the parents of Timothy Scofield showed compassion for the welfare of Timothy who was at the bottom of the swimming pool out cold. Katherine took action to leave her position at the shallow part of the pool to save Timothy who was at the bottom of the pool after Timothy who did not have on his life vest since his mom Frida forgot to give her son a life jacket since Tim does not how to swim. Katherine managed to grab Timothy by his left arm to get him to the surface where she and her friends who were at the pool party were able to get Timothy out of the pool into the side of the pool where the homeowner and the others adults used CPR to revive Timothy which took a while since Timothy on death's door until he came to his senses. Timothy was then taken by an ambulance to a local hospital where he spent the night in the Intensive Care Unit. The good news is that Timothy who was eight years old at the time of the incident did celebrate his ninth birthday on Tuesday. Tmothy is now having to learn to overcome his fear of being near swimming pools after his near death experience. Timothy's parents were going to have their son take swimming lessons earlier but die to the COVID-19 pandemic, those plans were postponed. Frida and her husband Ryan are grateful that Katherine did her part to save her son from drowning in a pool party. I am sure that Katherine will be rewarded by city officials with a life saving award in the near future as a thank you for her work of assisting her classmate from losing his life at a pool party.

What a courageous little girl. The parents were at fault since the child wasn’t wearing a life jacket . poor little guy. He might be afraid of water for the rest of his life after that experience.

These children who are making saves are real life versions of the Teen Titans and P J Masks.

@misunderstood_zombie When I was their age, I admired the heroes of that era like the Justice League Of America and the Marvel Heroes.

This is again the story of a parent who was distracted and didn't give her son his vest. I'm so glad Katherine was alert enough to get Timothy out of the pool.

Timothy's mother has admitted she made an error in judgement since she admitted that she was in a hurry to get her son to go to the pool party.

That is all fine and dandy and glad the boy was saved but if he did not know how to swim he should never have been in that pool in the first place, Where was everyone looking? It could have ended very badly,

The other children who saw the accident were in shock that Timothy did not have a lifejacket on him at the time of the accident while the parents did their part to revive the child.

It sounds like Timothy came very close to losing his life. Every child should learn to swim if possible.
