I am spending a lot of money in Uber.

I am going to doctors, therapy and the like almost every day of the week. I go and come back in an Uber as I sold my car a few years ago, when my hands started to tremble. Usually I don´t use an Uber much so if doesn´t matter. But now I am going to the hospital 4 times in a week. So it is very expensive. I hope that the next 2 weeks mean that some of my expenses go back to where they were.

@RubyHawk I know. But I still think that I was right to sell my car. I would not want to drive with trembling hands. And Santiago has become such a violent city that there are many places where you would not dare park your car. So I pay when I have to.

But I did not spend a dime in almost 2 years when I did not get out of my house. It is one thing for the other. And I want to ggo to my holidays as sure about my health as I can be,

@RebeccasFarm For months I only saw Luna. And then, Dixie invited me to her house and Claudia came to feed Luna.

@LindaOHio And I´m glad because I now have a part of the hospital (only for doctor´s appointments) nearer my house. Still it is far away.

I have taken some Uber rides when I've had to travel and it was necessary to get to airport, or hotel, or whatever. They are expensive here, too. But it's not cheap to have a car, either. I am fortunate to have one to drive and I do enjoy driving. It's hard when a person has to depend on others to get from one place to another, I'm sorry you have to do that.

@MarieCoyle I agree. That is also a good thing about the Uber. It picks me up at my house and takes me to the hospital´s door.

@marguicha Everywhere is violent. People get shot shopping, strolling, studying, working, driving, and doing pretty much anything. Take care of yourself!

Well, you can buy an eTrike usually very cheap around $500 $2000 I guess.

@marguicha The video below is an example of eTrike. In the video, it has 3 wheels only. But there are also 4 wheels but much more expensive of course.

Try to think about the positive way. At least it is less expensive than a normal taxi.

@marguicha Here the Uber will be less expensive, especially the app often provides coupons.

@youless I don´t have coupons that I know of. But I have no time to worry about the cost of the Uber. I don´t have money to spend on a new car either.

The most important thing is to find out about my ears and nose. Although I´m almost sure that it must be a sort of sinus problem, I have to know. And I have to follow the knee doctor plan so that he gives me cheaper meds and therapy.

I hope you find a better solution, I have used an Uber once when I came here but now I mainly stick to home due to the COVID situation and others that have cropped up,

A couple of times I have been taken by someone I know. But people work. I will not take public transportation now and I sold my car and won´t buy another. And now I have to go to all these doctors. Many of them I should have gone to see before, but then, for 2 years hospitals were closed for most of the people So there´s no solution. I hope that later on, I will not need to go to so many doctors

Uber fees would start to add up if you have to use them a lot.

We have Ola along with Uber. Though, I would hate to take them these days. Their services have gone from bad to worse. Do you get better service there?

We have Uber and Cabifi. I check who is cheaper on any trip. I will not use public tranportation.I deserve to be more comfortable and I have the means.

@marguicha Money is not the issue here with Uber / Ola. It's the service. Frequent cancellations is one. We use our private vehicles.

Personally, I have never used Uber before. However, there was a time when I used regular taxis and it wasn't cheap either. Unfortunately, such services are usually expensive. However, sometimes you have to take advantage of them.

I did my math and discovered that the way I lived, taxis, cabs and all the rest were less expensive than to own a car. In this moment things are different. First it was the pandemia that closed hospitals for a long time and now I am checking my health for all I could not do before.

I would have spent much more in a car I don´t use it if I had not sold it. I am not driving now.
