San Marcos Police Officer Corporal Reeder showed no fear yesterday when he saw a giant lizard walking toward a garage.
I will give my admiration to Corporal Reeder who must have had training in dealing with a large lizard before he joined the police force since he was able to pick up the reptile with ease and take him away from the garage to his police car and take the reptile to the South Texas Amphibian and Reptile Society where the giant lizard will be enjoying his new home.
Most persons who would see a giant lizard walking on a street or grass would likely run away from the reptile. I would not blame them at all.

What type of Lizard?
Maybe it's big but not poisonous?

@solidcodes I do not think that huge lizards are poisonous.

That is what likely happened since Officer Reeder most likely has firsthand experience dealing with these huge lizards in the past. I would also stay away from one of them.

@Deepizzaguy I’m sure he knew about lizards but that’s a big one.

@RubyHawk I did see the Jurassic Park movies with Chris Pratt's character playing the part of dinosaur tamer. I know some people who likely have knowledge of taming huge animals.

I know what you mean since I would rather pet a huge dog than a chameleon.

It's a chameleon. The officer has done a good job to save this rare species.

As long as the giant lizard does not attack me; I would like to watch it for awhile.

I would keep my distance myself seeing a huge lizard or a huge animal like that one.

That is one huge lizard. I would not be surprised most would be afraid of it. Actually my kittens are getting bigger by the day and my black beauty Michelle already reminds me of a black panther

I will give my respects to the officer since he must know something about how to deal with these giant lizards better than the average person. There is a dog that comes to the neighborhood to get dinner and the dog looks huge like a husky.

It looks good on police officers to assist an animal in need instead of harming one.

The officer most likely has experience working with lizards in the past since not many persons would want to handle a huge lizard.
