I will give 17 year old male teenager Falon O' Regan who lives in Bentleyville Pennsylvania with his relatives when he jumped out of the second floor of a two story building on Tuesday morning before dawn during a house fire to the ground floor suffering a minor injury from the impact from the fall. Falon with the assistance of a neighbor who lived on the bottom floor and a friend managed to grab a trampoline from the side of the house so that the four other occupants who were inside the burning home could jump from the second story of the burning building to the ground since the local firefighters had not arrived yet to rescue the others. The four other occupants did jump from the second floor to the trampoline below. One of the four persons who did jump from the second floor suffered a minor leg injury while the trio were treated for smoke inhalation by the first responders on the scene of the fire. According to Becky Williams who is the mother of Falon, the sad part of the rescue is that the family cats may have perished in the fire. Even though 12 adults and six children lost their homes, other than the cats may have died even though there is no solid evidence, the American Red Cross is providing them a temporary home until they can get back on their feet again. I will say that Falon has nerves of steel jumping of a two story building to the ground and then getting help from his neighbors to save the other occupants from dying in a house fire.

That was smart thinking to get the trampoline where the others could land on it. Very nice that the Red Cross is providing a home for them.

@RubyHawk That is true since a tragic event was spared. Hopefully the cats were able to escape from the burning building.

My pleasure to share these wonderful stories of heroism. I will give credit for Falon using his smarts to ask his neighbor to use his trampoline to save four persons who were trapped in the fire.

That was a brilliant idea. I think that adrenaline rush so Falon was able to make a quick decision thinking how he can save.

That is what I have learned of persons who make the decision to save a life during an emergency. They mention that it is like feeling like a hero that nothing will harm them when they run through a fire.

I am sure that Falon knows the saying that bravery comes from doing the right thing even if he scared to the point of getting his clothes wet.

Falon is a very smart teenager asking a neighbor to use a trampoline to use it to break the falls of the persons who jumped from the second floor to the ground. I guess he either knows the rescue techniques of firefighters from watching television or has been trained by firefighters what to do in saving lives.

That is what I like about Falon using the trampoline to save the lives of the foursome since either he knows a firefighter personally or was inspired by television shows of rescues.

My brother, in his teens, used to jump off the roof of our shed, and of bus shelters too, onto the ground, without harming himself, so perhaps, the teenager, was still flexible too, in his bones, to know how to land from such a jump, but he was smart enough not to tell others to jump as he did, but found a trampoline for them to jump onto instead. A quick thinking, and a creatively thought out rescue method there. His Irish name, Falon, means one who is in charge, and he really did live up to his name there, and take charge of the situation.

Thank you for sharing the information on how Falon did not suffer any serious injuries jumping off of the second floor of the burning building due to his youth.
