Sounds for YouTubing

When I video my little rambles, I do not give a rolling commentary. What with loud background sounds, especially in the city, and other folk might think you a very strange chap as you shuffle along spouting weird facts! Once home, I use a Zoom recorder. It is quite nifty and fits nicely in the hand, recording in stereo. It runs on AAA batteries, so power is not a problem and records onto a micro SD card, which I can plug into my computer. For some reason, you can plug in another microphone and record from that. I record in MP3, the format used by most music players. It will record in WAV, which I think is used on CDs. You can cram extra features into modern electronics! The fluffy thing next to it is called Dougal and fits over the microphones and is supposed to reduce wind noise, should I ever take it recording outdoors. I wonder if YouTubing is a word? Image my own.

It is only starting and has two videos on it, while I am working on my third. It is historical bits of London and other quirky bits. There is a line in an earlier discussion.
The Roman conquest of Britain began in 43AD, with Londinium being established as port and major city. It wasn’t until the about 100AD that a work on a wall...

You seem to be well organized and prepared to prepare and upload your videos on YouTube. Have you noticed that the more recent films always have a too loud music that covers what the characters are saying? I hate this.

Yes, a trend I am not a fan of. I don't have music on mine - can't afford it!

@Ronrybs - I like soft music only and never too loud. I also dislike the new trend of loud musics.

@LadyDuck Yes, I've noticed that the music is getting louder. It is a bit much when you have to turn on the subtitles to find out what is being said

Sounds like you are really getting organised. Is Dougal really 'a' Dougal or just your name for it?

@Ronrybs I saw that a time or two years back and I think the dog was Dougal.

I think it dates back to a dog character on a children's show, called the Magic Roundabout. Pretty sure that is where the name came from and I heard it on some techy TV show
