... secret? It's only a matter of time before I can have my son. He was taking his vitamins when this picture was taken. For the time being, my immediate family is not aware of it. I want them to be taken aback when they discover there is a new furry family member. I'm hoping he stays healthy and is prepared to be handed off to me by my friend. Do you think it is good to keep secrets?

@Shavkat How soon is soon. White lies like when you tell a person with dementia their loved one is still alive instead of upsetting them everyday since they will forget about it the next day.

In some cases, yes, keeping a secret is fine. In this specific case, yes, I see no harm in surprising your family with your new furbaby son. (He's a beautiful baby.) I'm quite sure they'll all love him just as much as you do/will.
