Rain! Rain! Rain!

Yes, this morning it rained. It rained for quite a while and the petrichor smell was very prominent. There was a cool breeze and it was very pleasant this morning. My daughter had remarked several times in the evening that it looked like it will rain. Well, it sure did. Just waited until early morning. We really needed it so I think the earth was dry and gave up a more rich fragrance than it would have normally.

Oooh! Florida. Sorry, you aren't getting any rain. Florida doesn't get much does it? Unless it's a big storm of course.

@kaylachan ........I think you may have meant 'drought'. We used to get a cloud burst in the evening and it would cool off the area. Not so anymore.

LOVE the smell of petrichor. I think it should have a sweeter name than that, but hey, we work with what we’ve got!

I'm glad you finally got some rain, too. (It rained most of two days here and we got over 3 inches total. We really needed it.)

@celticeagle We could do with some rain too. I especially like it to come during the night after a dry spell when my bedroom window lies open and that delicious petrichor washes over and all through me.
