Always Enjoying the Little Things in Life

No matter what comes or goes, I hope I can always find little things to enjoy in life. This rose was growing off to itself on the rose bush in Dustin's garden. It caught my eye. Made my day for sure. On the days I can't go out, I can see the garden from the windows. I also enjoy the screen room on the cool early mornings. With coffee and cats. A favorite time of the day. Always so nice and quiet in the neighborhood. I hope pain management has some excellent ideas to share with me today at my appointment. Always hoping for the best. Time is the main thing that will help, I know this. Really trying not to complain. Enjoying those little things. This rose and so much more. Photo is mine. Snapped this rose in Dustin's garden.

I hope you are not feeling too much pain. Are you on painkillers?

I have been in severe pain since day one. Some days are better than others. Yes the pain killers are what get me through but I asked for mild ones, not the narcotics. When they cut your head open, you have to be on pain killers. The ones I have are just not working. Still waiting on answers. Saw the Nurse Practitioner. She has to talk with the doctor and call me back.

@CarolDM what l should have asked , what l meant was - are you on strong painkillers. For an operation like the one you had, l would think only strong painkillers would help with severe pain. I understand too why you would hesitate to use anything too strong.

Thanks but have been in pain over two years now. Has improved since surgery a lot but still there. A lot of it is coming from healing from the surgery. Appreciate you.

@CarolDM No matter what, major surgery causes a lot of pain, and yours is very major. Hopefully you will feel better soon. I know being in pain isn't fun or easy.

@CarolDM I can imagine the frustration. I'm sure it's common to experience a lot of pain after major surgery, but it is a serious deal when you are the one having to experience it. Hoping they gave you some answers for alleviating the pain.

That is a pretty rose. You are already working on your own pain management when you can look beyond the obvious roses facing your way and see the beauty of this single rose. Alot like yourself, on your own, but so beautiful and unique. You are hopefully one third of the way to full recovery.

Thanks for your positive attitude, it helps. They told me months for total recovery and I will consult with the doctor soon. I saw the NP yesterday and got no answers. Went off the deep end for a little while yesterday but today is better.

Beautiful rose. I hope that the pain management was able to give you some ideas as to how to help with your pain. Continuing to pray for you I am enjoying this unusual cooler weather. Today will be 72 for a high. Makes me excited knowing that in a few more weeks it will be the norm.

What a beautiful picture! I would love to have a garden, but I have a terrible black thumb! I would very much like a screen room or a screened in porch. Maybe someday!
