Animal rescue officers rescue a swan that was tangled in a fishing line in a lake

Westford Animal Control Officers responded to an emergency call from a concerned person who saw a swan that was trapped in a fishing line in a lake one week ago. Officers Kristen Hirscher with the help of her partner Trudianne Mola jumped into Nabnasset Lake to rescue a swan that had a hook in his mouth after the swan was stuck in a fishing line. The best part of this story is that after the swan with the help of the police animal control officers found out that the swan had a fishing hook in his mouth, the swan was taken by them to the Tufts Animal in Grafton be treated for injuries with the hook inside of his mouth. The question is how long was the swan trapped in the fishing line which could have been fatal had the concerned citizen not contacted the police? Hopefully the swan will be able to make a full recovery after the hook will be removed his mouth. I am sure that Officers Mola and Hirschler will simply say that they were just doing their job of saving lives of human as well as animals.
