I Found a Sequel to "The Secret Garden"

I enjoyed the old movie "The Secret Garden". It is the story of an orphan who goes to live with a distant relative and discovers a secret garden on the property. She also discovers a young boy who has an issue with his legs and is a spoiled brat and a real tyrant. It is a sweet movie made in 1949 with Margaret O'Brien, Dean Stockwell, and Herbert Marshal. It had a nice ending and I didn't really expect to ever see a sequel. But, a couple of days ago I saw one called "Back to the Secret Garden"(2000) listed and had to check it out. It was just as cute as the first one. Another orphan from New York, after World War II, gets to go stay at an English manor. She enjoys gardening and explores a secret garden on the property that has a magical door. Very cute and enjoyable movie.

I read the book. It's a wonderful story to read while lying on the couch on cold days. You feel with the characters in the story.

Yes, and I forgot to put the author's name in. My bad. Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Many years ago, my mother had a book "The Secret Garden." I'm sure it followed the same story-line.

@kobesbuddy ........I used to have quite a few old books. Loved them. But, at different times I have had to take my collection to the antique store and see what I could get for them. Feeding kids was higher on my list than having the books.
