Good morning. Today is Friday at 8:16am here in the Philippines. A while ago, while we're on breakfast. Sam told to me that his class adviser informed was my former coworker in one of the institutions I've worked before as Library Manager in Quezon City. His adviser was a former college professor in that institution. And another teacher of Sam now is the same surname with us. In view of that might be possible one of our relatives. Sam said "That might be not good because they'll always call me during recitation. Specially when they're using in one of the books written by Daddy." then laugh. What do you about this?

It happens and you should not worry about it. Just make sure that the teacher would not treat your son special because of that and she would give him the grade that he deserves. As for you it would also be advantageous that maybe you can easily monitor your son's performance in school since you know her personally.

@jobelbojel Yes, I remember asking people about my father in class when I was a student because he was a teacher and college professor and everyone knew him at some point. I got used to it, and I believe that so far I have been treated properly, but there have been some instances in which people have consistently referred to me as my father's kid.

Good thing, my adviser treatment was fair to all though she knew me.

@rsa101 as long as the teachers treated their class fairly and that you were not the favorite back then.

That's interesting but... how well did you and your coworker get along? The reason I'm asking is because if you and your ex-coworker had any problems, he might take his revenge through Sam. I hope everything goes well for Sam and Kyler in school

Oh no, I hope that they were best of friends. If not, Sam will suffer the revenge.

Yes, he will be called often for recitation. I remember that my third year HS adviser is the wife of my uncle's friend and my father knows him as well. Aside from being call to recite in class, my adviser assigned me to do task.

What do I about this? I just hope everyone has a good time. I had a friend's niece in my class at the College. She did fine.

@luisga814 I was happy to see her there. But I never engage in favoritism. That would be unprofessional.

Hopefully that won't happen to Sam. Hopefully your former co-worker will treat him like everyone else. But you never know.
