I never expected this mango in my garden tree in the month of August.

It was really surprising when my maid gave me this raw mango in the morning. She said she plucked it from my garden. It's the month of August and mango trees are not expected to bear fruits. I was delighted and thought it to be ripe but it was raw and soft, the seed too was not hard.
I prepared the sweet mango chutney, as my maid adviced me to and had it with rice for lunch.
Have you had off season fruits in your garden?

To me it was like a miracle to get a mango on my tree in the month of August.

@aninditasen Funny, but I just mentioned to my husband that we haven’t had to buy vegetables all summer! It saves money and tastes so much better!

@DianneN That's true. You can have fresh vegetables at no cost.

That is rare to have fruits off season.
None here. We don't have trees on our lawn. But I miss my hometown.

Yes, that's the reason I chose to build my own single house and not buy a flat in the apartment. Of course apartments nowadays have terrace gardens with bonsai fruit plants.
