Watching the Netflix mini-series "Echoes"

I've seen some mentions of the show/series recently but didn't think much of it until a few days ago when someone in IOP mentioned it. She said she really liked it but that she didn't think there would be any more episodes. I mentioned that I thought I had seen a headline that said it might be continued. I almost never watch new shows or movies but I am curious about this one after hearing that person talk about it. The actress looks just like the one in The Man in the High Castle (great show on Amazon Prime) but I looked it up and it is someone else. The show is also darkly lit and the actress speaks low and quietly. Honestly if I didn't know that it was 2 entirely different shows and that they are about wildly different things and you just blindfolded me and left me to listen--I would think it is the same show. I do remember the woman saying that just when you think you have it figured out you then realize that you totally don't. So while I think I know what is going on. . . the Roomba is going and the acting is quiet and I already have the forewarning that I totally don't. Stay tuned!

Glad you're enjoying the show. I tried to watch it, but I just couldn't get into it and quit watching. I did watch and really loved "Man in the High Castle." It makes sense since historical fiction, especially with alternative timelines, is one of my favorite genres of shows!

I've only seen 1 episode so far. I'm curious about it now so I'll watch at least a couple more. I tried watching Ozark since so many people love it but I couldn't get into it.

@gtdoss People told me to give it at least 4 episodes so I will have to revisit it at some point. I do get that. I read a book years ago (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) and it was set in Sweden. There were so many Swedish names of locations and stuff that I was getting overwhelmed. I powered through and like after the first 100 pages I was able to just filter out/ignore the Swedish names and focus on the story. Reading that incredible novel became so much easier after that. There were 2 more excellent books after that: The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets' Nest. Outstanding!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the episodes. I subscribed to Hulu to re-watch Lost and possibly watch Manifest; but they are raising their price; and I will, in protest, unsubscribe. It's already pretty high.
