I fear needles... / myLot

I hope you had a good and happy time. As for me, I woke up to a splitting headache and vomited several times but now I'm okay. Also I had my ingrown toenail removed and the pain I thought I couldn't endure was bearable after all. Just the injection of the anesthesia felt like a bite of a big red ant. I hope after a week, it would heal and stop giving me pain and suffering. It has been months that I have endured this because of my fear of needles. Many fear needles and I'm one of them. Needles don't bother me... I can't watch a nurse draw blood from me, though. I've fainted before seeing my blood being drawn. Now, I just look at the wall or ceiling while the nurse inserts the needle and draws my blood. When they're done, I'm fine.

@Jenaisle True. I've been in the hospital several times. I was bored out of my mind but didn't have a problem.

I do not like needles, but it's not a serious fear. I cannot stand to watch when they take out blood from my veins.

Yes, extraction could be painful especially if the health personnel isn't competent enough.

My greatest fear used to be ghost. But not anymore. I hate needles and i too fear them but when i must have an injection, i just tell the the person administering it that i have that fear. But my fear isn’t that much.

Ahaha. Just kidding.

My greatest fear (or one of...) would be heights. And I have no idea how I could overcome that. I just avoid them as best I can.

I too have the same fear of heights. When I stare down it seems it is pulling me down. and I'm afraid I might jump because of this.

I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. I'm glad you got your ingrown toenail taken care of. I don't like needles either. I look the other way when I get an injection.

I do that too but still, it would take me, somebody, holding me to be able to endure the anticipation of the prick/ stab.
