Occam's Razor and the MAGA crowd

Occam's razor is "A principle of theory construction or evaluation according to which, other things equal, explanations that posit fewer entities, or fewer kinds of entities, are to be preferred to explanations that posit more." In English... "It is the idea that, in trying to understand something, getting unnecessary information out of the way is the fastest way to the TRUTH or to the best explanation." Or... If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a DUCK!!! So why can't the Maga people understand despite so much glaring proof that Donald Trump is a con artist?

Because the MAGA crowd don't want to understand it or believe it's true.

Unfortunately, emotion often TRUMPS reasoning.

There's none so deaf as those who will not hear what is being said.... the MAGA crowd does not want to listen.

Someone commented that Trump fans don't want to see the truth and you mention they don't want to hear the truth but they are not shy about singing his praise.

@LadyDuck Funny but you read my mind. I was about to add a photo of those monkeys to my comment but decided not to. I don't want to offend any Maga fans here.

I only hope the Hindutva movement would confine its battles inside parliament and not spill out into street violence.

I knew he was a con artist from day one. He lies and when caught about lieing he lies some more to cover up the lies.

Your comment reminds me of the quote by Sir Walter Scott "Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive" Has Trump finally been caught in the web of his own making?

The truth is infront but still people prefer to stay in illusions or self imposed blindfold. They refuse to see the truth.

Among his inner circle, I wonder how Trump honestly thinks about his Maga supporters. Since he is incapable of showing empathy in public, he must privately feel nothing but contempt for those adoring fans, treating them as nothing more than cash cows.

@josie_ I am sure that everyone knows the truth but tries hard to be pretentious behind a fake mask. No one cares except for their own brownie points and money gain. It's unfortunate but true. It's an ugly game everywhere.

Sorry I'm not familiar with this Maga crowd. What are they? Why are they called Maga?

@Nakitakona His son is now the country's president. I hope BBM will leave a better legacy of his presidency compared to his father.

Make America Great Again (Maga) Donald Trump's followers. I think Trump stole his slogan from Ferdinand Marcos Sr. "The Philippines can be great again".

Because they just refuse to. They perceive what they believe in and the contents of their minds. Sometimes, many people think they are the only brilliant person in the world?

They hold on to their faith in Trump just like people defend their religious faith.
