The former U.S. Attorney for the southern part of New York recently wrote a book entitled "Holding the Line" in which he accounted for the way in which former President Trump and Bill Barr, former Attorney General, tried to use the DOJ as their own law firm. Barr would call the U.S.Attorney's office and tell them who he wanted to prosecute and who he wanted to be exonerated. He couldn't get Berman to do these things so he tried to get him to resign but he would not. He couldn't fire him because he was appointed by a judge. As a final effort to get Berman out he send out to the media a lie stating that Berman was stepping down. Berman sent one of his own saying he was not and had no intention of doing so. Thanks to Jeoffrey Berman the public now knows the truth about just one more thing that this crooked and pathetic individual has done.

I think Barr eventually did fire him. I'm so sick of these jerks who knew all about the shady and illegal crap that Trump did but didn't bother to say anything at the time so they could sell a book.

No, he didn't. He tried. He did what was right at the time and fought for his position and wouldn't let Barr oast him.

I applaud Jeoffrey Berman for taking a brave stand against what were clearly illegal acts. The quote "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” comes to mind. He represents good men.
