Good day to you all, So, I been gone about a month and 10 days seems like a lot longer than that. What have I been up to in that time? Good question not sure I have a good answer lol. I have been spending time looking for a new job and turning down a few because they just were not a good match for what I want. I took this job for now that the hours kind of suck, but it is like 3 blocks from my place and the pay is decent. Thought I would share what I think some of you might find comical. I had this interview with this company just over the border in Illinois. I get there and head in the building about 10 minutes early and as I walk in, I notice that the receptionist is wearing a mask. Now I know some people still wear it for what I am not sure but whatever it isn’t hurting me if you want to look foolish. As soon as I get in there she asks if I have a mask. I said, no I don’t. She says oh I can give you one if you don’t, we still require masks to be worn in the building. I said, oh alright can you tell the manager that I was here for the interview, but I am not interested if you all require employees to wear masks. She asked, “oh are you serious”. I turned around and walked out. There was no way I was going to work for any place like that. I didn’t wear them during the mandate I certainly am not going to wear one now. They were not paying near enough to put up with that kind of stupidity. Hope you all have a great day.
