Planning my last week at Aruba.

Today I went to say good bye to the casino. As usual I lost money and as usual I did not care. This is not something I do every day and I feel I deserve it. There are many things I can´t do anymore so this is one of the few left.
Tomorrow I will start to fold my clothes with the hope of finding a place for Diego´s new clothes in the suitcases too. I have been reading about the temperature in Santiago and it is still chilly. So I will place all of our thick clothes in a big grocery bag and we´ll change at the airport.
I plan to leave all groceries left the day before here and I´ll eat something in the little restaurant by the pool the last day.
Friends, I´m missing my home!

Sounds like an enjoyable trip overall.
Temperatures can often vary sharply between two places.
Casino is always risky. I hope that it is not a big amount that you lost.

I only come to a casino when I come here. So it is not so terrible.

I always found that as it got closer to time to return home from vacation, I was looking forward to being at home again. Vacations are fun but to me, they are tiring. I always left a few days before I had to be back at work as "rest days" at home so I didn't start work tired from the vacation.

I had 3 weeks this time because I used all the weeks of the covid. But usally 2 weeks are enough.

@LadyDuck When I went to the US with my husband it was always a lot more. But we´d rent a car and go to many different places. I have seen a kind of US not many tourists know about.

I will now check on vacations and holidays in my own country. We´ll see what I can have. But I still have to pay for some of the money I have spent lately

I like chilly temperatures rather than hot ones. I don't usually miss my home when I am on vacation. I enjoy traveling so much that I want to enjoy every second of it. Home will always be there when I have to return.
