Would you help someone for free? / myLot

Many strangers are kind and they want to help other people for free. I found many of these. I wonder if someone can help people for a long period of time without having any feelings. I would help someone for free for a long period of time if he or she was my friend. What is your opinion about this?

@dya80dya I have given friends things for free so yes, if it is truly a friend and not someone that wants to use me I would help because they would appreciate it.

@dya80dya A friend means a person who helps me too. If the person doesn't help me back, there is no point the person is a friend. So you should see if that person also help you back when you need

People who helped me didn't help with money. I appreciate any kind of help.

It depends on the situation. I would help a friend for free till he gets out of the situation he is in. It never happens that someone needs your help always especially financially.

Let us differentiate between those in need and free-loaders who take advantage of the generosity of others. We help strangers out of empathy. With friends, there are other emotional strings attached.
