I ran across an ad for house sitting, and was just wondering if anyone here has ever done it. If so, how do they get paid, or do they. Sounds like a nice thing to do, but I just wonder if it's something where you can earn. I saw also for pet setting. I could do cats, I think I would be afraid of strange dogs. More of a cat person. Since Jim died, I do need to supplement my income, I just don't think I could work a job. So anyone know about house setting?

I have done that in the past, for people who had animals and did not want the animals to be boarded. They even let me bring my own dog with me. All got along fine. As long as you don't have to scrub floors or do heavy work, it might work out for you and be a break from the norm. I rather enjoyed it. Got paid in cash.

I rather enjoyed it, plus they had some incredible flower gardens to admire, LOL.

Its a lot like babysitting. The person sets the rules, payment, etc. They may ask you what you charge, in which you can discuss a suitable rate.

They pay. You could call to see what they want you to do.
