My Great Estate Sale Experience

I have started to go to estate sales instead of thrift stores to find things to sell on eBay. And so far it's been an amazing experience.
I went to one sale on Saturday that was the absolute best estate sale I have ever been to. The woman who used to live in this home (she is still alive but moved out somewhere else and couldn't bring everything with her) used to be a distributor for Longaberger baskets. If you aren't familiar with this company, they were a home party basket company in the 1990s and early 2000s. Their baskets were very expensive.
I saw this estate sale advertised online and saw photos so decided to go. I left my house at 9:45 am on Saturday and didn't get back until 3:00 pm. I could have stayed longer but I had told my husband I would be back around 3:00 pm. And I was pretty burnt out after going through so many items during a 4 hour period. This sale was 23 minutes away from my home.
I am not going to mention how much I spent because it was much more than I had expected to spend. But I have already made over 1/2 of it back on eBay in 3 days!
I will update you at a later time. But not only did I get about 40 items to sell on eBay, but also I was able to get lots of office supplies and stationery supplies for myself and my husband. Plus, I had a blast at this sale.
I love going to estate sales. Have you ever been to one?

I like auctions and estate sales a lot. My favorite is the outside in the summer ones put on by auctioneers, everything piled outside and you can walk around and look first. It's always fun, but most auctions here are now all online. Every once in a while, I will see one regular, old fashioned auction, but they are rare these days.
Honestly, those Longaberger baskets here have no resale value hardly at all. I see them in the second hand stores, and at rummage sales...big ones that cost way over $100 are priced about $10 and they just sit there. I am glad you can sell them on Ebay.

Sounds like a fun outing. I hate shopping in general but love charity shops and any sort of event where you just never know what you might find.
I am finding Ebay really slow these days. I used to sell odds and ends there and haven't for a while, but since I got back to it I often find that not only do items not sell (which is only normal sometimes) but they don't even get one single view! Hope things are better for you!
