Much needed rain has come

Just a few minutes ago, rain came cascading to my neighborhood! Hooray! We needed it badly.
We're on water conservation voluntarily now, for about 2 months. I buy water, from nearby Marukai Wholesale Mart. Cart 2 cases a time to go conserve tap water.
The Navy had a fuel leak that got into water well system.

Many Navy and local residents displaced and because water contaminated. Now, a lawsuit follows incident.

Aside of fuel leak problem, Hawaii has a drought situation too. Last drought was from 2008 and lasted till 2015.

It's good you got some rain. But for a drought, you need days of slow steady rain to "fix" it. Good luck seeing more rain in the near future.

Oh no fuel in the water..that is a terrible situation.

I'm glad you got some rain. We have been getting rain for 2 days; and another 2-4" is expected. There is a flood watch in our area. Have a good week.
