I realized having high grades will increase my daugther's chance of getting into a good job and company. So I will devote my time now into helping her with her studies. I will go to such lengths as learning subjects like Calculus and studying programming to help her. Of course I will have time for myself because I am not that robust mentally and physically but I will make her a priority. We will be looking for a place near her college this weekends. I hope we can find a nice and affordable place. Learning about programming will also help me in my aspirations with online work.

Wow, what an effort to support her in her academic endeavors only to be able to aid her. If she had a study partner at home, I believe that would be extremely beneficial for her. Just don't spoon-feed her anymore since that could not be healthy. The learner is no longer able to learn since they are dependent on their parents to teach them, as some parents have a tendency to do with their kids. Allowing her to make mistakes will help her learn from them more and prevent them in the future. Even more important than learning without failing can be learning from mistakes.

@yoalldudes Well help her as much as your strength and will do so. Do not over-exert as our age is fast approaching to becoming slow unlike the minds we have when we were their age. I think your daughter will understand that as she ages too that not everything we can provide them and soon it may become the opposite that we will depend on them for support.

When you assist someone learning a skill, you also learn a skill that will be useful in the future of your daughter and yourself.
