Plant propagation

There are many ways plants can be propagated and one way is through cuttings.
I saw this branch of the tiger tail plant (acalypha) bent with several side shoots stuck to the branch. A great way to have more cuttings that could be gently snapped once they attain a certain size and planted elsewhere.
While some do not propagate through cuttings if a flowering plant is bent it gets side shoots and those shoots start flowering. I have seen this with one of our marigold plants.
What methods do you use to propagate plants?

Am a frustrated gardener since there is limited space where I live I could not plant. But my Grandfather I know he is a genuine green thumb kind of a person since he can grow plants easily. He knows where/when/how to cut a plant so that it survives and propagates.

@allknowing Unfortunately the land is no more. After the fire ravaged it many decades ago no one took care of that anymore and the land was eventually sold.

@LadyDuck I have become an addict and no matter how many times I make up my mind never to buy seeds I get the feeling I will do it again

I read somewhere you do gardening in pots and what you see in the photo is a branch jutting out from a plant in a pot.

@allknowing Yes, but I have no space left to place another pot. Also, don't find time to spend on gardening these days.

At this time, I do not use any methods. Maybe one day I will. Usually it is in water if I can.
