“I Am Woman” is a song written by Australian musicians Helen Reddy and Ray Burton. The song is one her debut album I Don’t Know How to Love Him from 1971. The song was heard during the closing credits for the movie “Stand Up and Be Counted” in 1972. In May 1972 a new recording of the song was released and became a number one hit. After Reddy passed on in 2020 the song was at the top of the Australian digital sales chart.

This was a real feminist statement and well sung by Helen.

And such a great song. What a nice tribute in her passing to have her song up there on the charts. That's nice.

I remember that song from the late singer Helen Reddy which I understand is the anthem for women to be stand up and be counted.
