Video Gaming Much?

I just learned that they actually have a clinical term for being addicted to internet gaming now. If a person plays a lot of video games to the point where their personal lives are affected in areas such as relationships, self-care, work, and school. It is called internet gaming disorder(tough one to remember, huh? LOL). I think my grandson may have this disorder along with his psychoactive disorder- depressive type diagnosis that he takes three medications. But, he plays video games for ages to all hours and then he doesn't for a while. So, I'm not sure that counts as having the disorder.

Playing video games is Pretty's job. Hawaii Gaming Commission sends her the latest video games before they are available for sale. Pretty plays the living crap out of them and then writes about them online. She gets paid for doing that. I don't know if that would count as having the disorder or not.

I have about 200 games installed on my computer; but I haven't played any recently. Kids seem to be glued to their computers and hand-held game thingies.

My first husband spent all his money and all his spare time playing video games. I truly do this he had this disorder. He didn’t like me to talk while he played and didn’t spend much time with the kids.

Sadly many people not just kids these days have their faces firmly stuck in their phones. Completely oblivious to what is going on around them.

I am one of those people from time to time. I swore I'd never even get a cell phone much less play games on it. Go figure.
