I have a ring video doorbell, and along with it, I get neighborhood alerts. It's tied to the address of my doorbell, which is my house. So, I get alerts for Daytona Beach, beachside, Port orange and Ormand. During Ian, most posts were about power loss. Now almost two weeks later, its back to stolen things and car break ins. The usual. guess criminals still find things to take. Many will take anything that's not nailed down.

@kaylachan I’ve only had thing stolen once when we were in the process of moving and weren’t at home. They took what we had left in the house which wasn’t much.

@RubyHawk At least it wasn't a huge loss, which is good.

True. But if you have to leave your car outside, don't leave anything of value in it.

You have an interesting video door bell. At least you are safe with that bell but your neighborhood is not safe.

They do come in handy, sure. I don't disagree with that.

Now there was a security system ,
i think that anything important in your house can't be too easy stolen by someone else

@cabuyogty Because I know what I have. My laptop might be the only thing, but we also have a home security system and my MacBook would start alerting me as soon as it leaves my home.

Back to business as usual One of the few good things about living here, is the crime is minimal.

Same here. And, it was stolen out of someone's yard. so well, washing machines don't belong outside. So served them right for taking it or it being taken.

It is not good for anyone to lose packages that any of us to have our packages stolen. It hurts me when items that I purchase from eBay get stolen by crooks.

I've been lucky it's not really a problem here. But, then I have a garden bed that hides my front door from the street.
