In Nepal just like India the travellers are allowed to enter the alpine forests in open jeeps. There is a guide who is allowed to sit with the travellers. The jeep follows a path which is created by the other vehicles in the forest. There are many animals which peep out like red panda, buffaloes, wild boars, black bear. The jeep hardly stop because the animals are dangerous and on danger the vehicle can be driven at a high speed.

@sathviksouvik It sounds very dangerous with wild animal roaming around.

@sathviksouvik I see how that could be dangerous. I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to ride in a Jeep out there. I’d love to see all the animals though.

@RubyHawk thanks Ruby there is also a danger of a herbivorous animal confronting a carnivorous animal. If a leopard and bison come in front of a jeep it is really dangerous

@sathviksouvik that's true, herbivorous animals are not dangerous.

thanks Sanjeevji it depends. I dont think in that part of Jim corbett national park where tigers are there they will allow anyone to go in open jeep. Because those animals are not manageable. But where deer and herbivores are there open jeep is allowed

thanks Cristy yes that can happen. I could gather from the local people in Nepal that the forests remain closed during monsoon and open after October. May be due to muddy roads speeds of the jeeps remain slow which make the job of wild animals easy to attack

@sathviksouvik they made the right decision.
Having it closed will avoid accidents to happen.

@magallon thanks Cristy I did not go during January. In case roads get muddy for melting of snow then also forest authorities have to take serious decision

That could be fun but also dangerous. Some wild boars appeared in the city here and attacked people.
