Rare Coins Found When Couple Goes to Redo Their Kitchen Floor

A couple in England was renovating their kitchen. When they went to tear out the old flooring to put in a new one they came across rare gold coins.
A collection of 264 rare coins were found in a pot about the size of a soda can. They sold at auction for $842,330.
They were from the 17th-18th century. It is believed that the coins were once owned by the Fernley-Maister which was a family of traders from Hull, East Yorkshire. They made their fortunes in Baltic trading.

Well, that paid for the renovations and then some. When I ripped up the kitchen floor two houses ago, I found some old newspapers and the pine boards underneath were painted green and gold in a carpet design.

Good money I say A house in my native place brought down the pillars of their house to rebuild and they found a treasure too hidden in one of the pillars.
