Ready to Cook / myLot

Well, as I may have mentioned—and I apologize in advance for posting so much about camping, but it's our newest adventure—we are off to Sundermeir RV Park in St. Charles, Missouri tomorrow with the new camper, and of course we have to eat. The camper came with a grill I can attach. But I am not ready to mess with that just yet. So, I bought a little camping grill that uses small, one-pound propane tanks for $35 at Menard's and put it together tonight so it is ready to go tomorrow night when we are ready to eat. We got some 1/3 pound hamburger patties at Walmart, and some of their deviled egg potato salad we will bring, and I think this little grill should do its duty and serve its purpose just fine for what we want in the meantime. I have never used a camping grill before, so it may take some getting used to to not overcook my food and maintain proper temperature and so on and so forth. But cooking is not my first rodeo either, so I think I will do just fine. We will head over to the storage facility tomorrow around 1030am to hook up and get ready to get on the road. Wish us luck.

You have every right to post about camping. You are hopefully going to have good weather for it and it'll be a fun adventure for the both of you.

Best of luck to you in your inaugural camping trip! I'm sure you'll have fun and learn a few things along the way. I have a small propane grill just like that, and I use it all the time on camping trips. It's a great little gadget to have.

Eventually I did replace that little thing with a Coleman scissor leg one that is also bigger, and fits perfectly in my pass through in the camper. Just love it, and when I bought it, I got it for just $80 at Ollie's, which was a steal considering in many places they want over $200 for the exact same model I have.

I eventually replaced it with a bigger one that has scissor legs and fits perfectly when folded down in my pass through in the camper. That little one did the trick at the time, though. No complaints.
