The photo is what my myLot earnings are helping to pay for.
We’ve had a couple of break-ins in the neighborhood lately. Now, my dear mother of blessed memory used to say that “the only thing a lock does is keep an honest man honest,” and I guess that’s true anymore. However, as a gun owner I feel a need to be responsible.
Even though I’m single and don’t have a need to “lock up the guns from kids,” I got this safe so I can put the gun in there while I’m not home.
If nothing else, my brand-spanking-new car title (got my cleared title today 
) is in a place that will slow down things like fire or flooding.
I’ve taken the responsible precautions (I lock my doors, I have an alarm system, etc.), of course. I just want to make sure that gun is as difficult to get to as I can possibly make it.
So thank y’all for enjoying my silly music countdowns (oh, you’re gonna love the next one…you can blame JJ and NJ Chic for it 
) and fall foliage photos. The money has gone to good use!

Safes are good for lots of "stuff". In Ohio you no longer need a CC license. You can carry at will.

@FourWalls Hah! Makes me proud to have me new Kentucky fitted baseball cap. I'd attach a picture of me with my .22 and my Kentucky hat, but it might offend some snowflakes.

I don’t think you’re such a dinosaur. I don’t understand the “necessity” of people who camped out for the iPhone 13 last year camping out to get the iPhone 14 this year. I have a 13…which replaced a 7. The 7 is now obsolete because the latest IOS is only for 8 and above.

@FourWalls - I am so upset, I loved so much my old Samsung, but he can only work on a 2G network and now they stop it. Then they tell us not to waste. I did not need to replace this one, but I am obliged.

I’ve had a couple of attempts (came home from work one night and the screens at two windows were raised [but those are part one of three-part entry to my windows), but God has truly blessed me and watched over me. Not only here, but my entire life.

Exactly. I’ve listened to scanner traffic, and they’ve had calls holding for an hour for a patrol car to get to.

It has a good rating. I’d hope that the alarms and the locks and everything else would deter people from even getting to the safe.
