Once it's Gone--It's Gone!

We have five more days until we vote in the mid-term election. We all really need to use some common sense. Our vote is very important. If you really think that Kari Lake and the new Twitter owner are okay to make jokes about the attack on Paul Pelosi then go ahead and vote for that side of the tracks. But, remember that when our democracy is gone, and the fascists take over, it will take a long, long time to have any semblance of freedom again in our lives and those of our children. People like Kari Lake do not have empathy, integrity, morals, or common sense. They don't care about keeping our democracy alive. They just want power and they don't care about being civil servants and fighting for what is right and what we need in America. Those only see $$ signs and power. Let's get rid of MAGA and bring back our freedoms. Democracy is a wonderful thing. Let's not lose it.

More and more are the rich companies and rich political lobbies who decide who must lead.

And that needs to stop. With Trump in the office again that will only get worse. I hope Biden's new Act will get some leeway before Trump gets a stronghold again. I hope he won't get in again but I don't hold out a lot of hope. My positivity is low, to begin with and then to hear his idiocy doesn't make it any better. He is now saying he will announce his running later this month. OMG!

@LadyDuck ........I do hope that Biden doesn't run again. He's too old and people don't like him. Many do not realize all he has done and that the economy will be better after the first of the year when this new Act goes into effect.

@celticeagle I have read about Trump and I fear that if he runs against Biden he surely wins.

Decomorcy, while a good thing, has been a joke for a long time. I am thankful for it, sure, but it's brought about a lot of hate. It's no longer about who can do the job. It's become a popularity contest. You might hate a person, but that doesn't mean they can't do the job. Newsflash, politics is full of criminals and a lot of dirty laundry.

@kaylacha Despite their flaws, your two-party system, and the electoral college have managed the peaceful transition of political power until Donald Trump cast doubt on the vote counting integrity.

With Trump taking over the republicans it has become a very hateful place. He needs to be ousted.

@celticeagle I don't understand why you have to vote in the middle of their term.

I mailed in my vote a couple of weeks ago, so much better than standing in a long line half a day.

Democracy is about accepting the result of the election even if people like Kari Lake, Hershel Walker, or Majorie Taylor Greene get elected. In the US and many other "Democratic" countries, it is Capitalism that decides political decisions.

Our government is in democratic form. And the elected government officials abused it. It's democratic in form but not in practice.
