I want to pick up reading again, so I want to ask for some recommendations from you guys. What interesting books have you read so far? I like sci-fi, time travel, adventure, spy stories, war, love stories, and all genres or interesting books - except horror. I've already read most of Danielle Steel's novels, Sidney Sheldon, Leon Uris, Tom Clancy, and Alistair MacLean's. Any new books you can recommend? Thank you so much.

You should check out an author named Cassandra Clare. She has several series out that I really enjoy. Look for City of Bones. (It's the first book in The Mortal Instrument series.) I hope you enjoy her writing as well as I do.

@DevMrSamEleazar Mom said I taught myself how to read when I was about four years old. I've read lots of books ever since then. (About 200 books a year since then.)

@DevMrSamEleazar the title sounds exciting. May I know who's the author? Thanks.

I've read three of Jojo Moyes lately and enjoyed them all. Lee Child is a popular author too.

Jojo Moyes, that's a new name for me, I'm not well-read, but I will search for that author and that book. T.Y.

We have similar authors we like. I notice you don't read legal courtroom drama novels. I suggest the novels of John Grisham. Ever since the internet, I hardly read any book, preferring to get my news and information from the web.

That's good to know. I've read some of Grisham's too. I like them as well. It seems getting it from the web is common nowadays because it is more convenient. thanks.

I would recommend anything by Michael Crichton or Robin Cook.

Oh, I've read one from Michael Crichton, but I will try Robin Cook because I often hear his/her name. I will add them to my list. Kudos for the heads up.
