Thanks to the teamwork of the Roseville Police Department as well as Animal Control officials on Wednesday afternoon after an owl got in trouble by having his right wing trapped on a barbed wire fence which was caught. A Roseville police officer managed to free the owl from the barbed wire trap, the officer realized that the owl was not able to fly away. Then an employee with the Atlantic Street Pet Emergency Center took the injured owl to the wildlife so that the owl will spend time to be treated for his injured wing. The injured owl is expected to recover from his injury and live a long life.

It breaks my heart that an owl is in a compromising position myself.

Poor little owl. I hope he's learned to stay away from barbwire.

I hope so as well since owls do not see very well in darkness.

You are right since I have seen barbed wire up close and personal in my neighborhood.

I'm glad the owl will be rehabilitated and be able to be set free eventually.

I recall not long ago reading an article of an owl trapped in the front grill of a car. He was injured but recovered in a wildlife clinic. Owls are such special creatures to watch.
