Ever Wake Up From a Dream Laughing?

This hasn't happened to me in a long time but I laughed and laughed. My wife and I evidently were at some shopping mall somewhere. I hate shopping by the way. We got a little separated and I watch her disappear around a corner. She lets out a shriek of terror and I'm beside her in a flash. She's pointing and screaming "It's a monster! It's a monster!" I look and she's pointing at this lumpy black money sack on a pallet waiting to get loaded into an armoured truck. My wife's behaviour has just given the security guards an awful fright and I just found the whole thing incredibly funny and started laughing till tears were rolling down my face. A female guard with eyes still wide says, "Why would she do that?" and I answered with, "I don't know but if I'd thought of it, I would have done it myself." That's when I woke up. Biggest surprise is that I didn't end up waking up Francine. Anyone else wake up laughing like this? If you did what were you laughing at. Alternatively I don't mind if anyone tries to psychoanalyze this.

Unfortunately most of the time I wake up with my heart pounding because of bad dreams or nightmares.

I've had horrible nightmares before. I totally understand. Fortunately, neither the comedy dreams nor the nightmares happen very often.

If I've dreamed anything lately I don't remember.

I think most of the dreams that happen are forgotten long before I wake up.

@RubyHawk Nightmares have a way of making themselves memorable.

I do not know if I ever had. Some dreams good some dreams scary but none have ever made me laugh. My last one was with a tiger and my brother and sister and dogs. but was not scary or funny just pleasant and I tell my sister. I guess we have a Tiger now too. That's actually kind of funny how come I did not laugh. Never trust a tiger. Your dream is way more funny though. I am not the monster I just a Tiger.

That’s a good feeling, right? Laughing first thing in the morning? I had a dream before (can’t remember the deets) which made me smile when I woke up. Like a really big smile it was a bit hilarious

It's nice to wake up laughing but it was about 3 AM which is a little early.

@sol_cee She continued to sleep peacefully. A surprise blessing. I thought for sure I'd wake her up.

I have yet to laugh after waking up from a dream. Just cried after having a nightmare when I was a child.

@koopharper I have a few nightmares from time to time related to world events.

@Deepizzaguy My nightmares tend to relate more to abuse that I've been subject to in the past although world events right now are a good reason for them.

I never remember any dreams, much less wake up laughing. That is a bonus.

I usually don't remember them either. Only if they were horrible or if they were funny. I'm easily amused especially when I'm tired.

@koopharper Well good for you. I know they say we all dream but I have no idea if I ever do.

I've woken up crying but only once or twice thank goodness. Dreams can be frighteningly real sometimes.

I've never woken up crying that I can remember and I only remember one other comedic dream. I've had some pretty bad nightmares though. I prefer the comedy.
