In West Bengal different flowers are cultivated at different times of the year. But as marigold grows both in winter and in summer it is cultivated in bulk quantity. Many farmers earn their livelihood by marigold cultivation. They are sold in the garland and flower markets after growth.

Eww! My mom loved marigolds but I thought they didn't smell good... I won't grow them in my garden.

@sathviksouvik You're welcome. The marigolds we grow here have a strong odor that I don't like.

I have marigolds in our garden but only eight small plants. It would be lovely to see it growing wild.

I can have marigolds in my garden all year too. That is, I did before Luna came to live at my house.
