I Cannot Believe How Some Humans Act

At least these hateful monstrous people that choose to belittle(and worse) gays look like humans. I am appalled. Just because people love differently they are ostracized and treated horribly by others. Why can't they get to know these people and understand who they are? I have known some gay and lesbian people in my life. I worked with one at an answering service. He was one of the most well-dressed, immaculate, and respectable persons I have known in my 71 years. He was a dear friend. He invited me one night down to the town's gay bar, The Emerald City. There I met my first transvestite. He was dressed and made up so nicely. His makeup made me jealous. I could never get mine like that. So well done. He was very gracious and nice. I had one other experience. It was with a gay young man who came to visit one of my family. He was the friend of one of my kids. He was very nice and mannerly as I recall. I asked about him a few weeks later and was told that he had committed suicide. What a shock! It made me realize that I had no idea what lives these folks live. I had no idea. My relationship with gay people has always been pleasant. There were never any scenes or weird happenings. They are emotional, caring, and decent people. They are respectable and intelligent. Many have very intense, sad, and unwarranted backstories. It is so horrible that they are treated so abominably when all they want to do is live happy but different lives. Their difference is scary to some. It goes against the norm. One of my favorite movies of all time is one called "Too Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar". Released in 1995 it is a fun adventure with three transvestites on their way to a show. It stars Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo. Vida, Noxeema and Chi-Chi. What a wonderful movie. Have you had any friends that were gay? Any experiences? What are your thoughts?

My best friend and I knew a gay girl in high school. She had moved here from Boston and she had to move back up a year later.

I have had a few friends who were gay and they were the greatest friends you could ever want to have, Did you hear about this, it is so shocking. As midnight neared, the safe haven for the Colorado Springs, Colorado, LGBTQ community was shattered by a gunman who entered the nightclub and opened fire, killing at least 5 people and injuring 25 others, police said. Police rushed to the scene after receiving several 911 calls beginning at 11:56 p.m.

Same with me. I have never had a bad experience around them. No bad words or anything negative. They are such nice people. I wish they were given a chance instead of opinions being stated with no foundation. Yes, that is what got me to write this. I heard about it right after it happened.
